Our Guest Star this week is from….
California, USA

Today we are welcoming Carolyn from her website Homework.  Being that she lives in California and all, I’m betting that she rubs elbows with the stars all the time!  Right, Tom?  Fortunately for the state of California, I do not live there as I would most likely be a stalker-like individual hanging out with the paparazzi outside of the Waffle House on Hollywood Boulevard, waiting for the next famous person to order a pile of hashbrowns smothered, covered and chunked. And comparing them to their most recent photos from my National Enquirer.
What? There are no Waffle Houses in Hollywood?  How can that be?
My buddy Tom Selleck and his mustache tell me that they all eat healthy in California.  Seriously?  What’s with that?
Anyway, the Green Room is all set up and ready for our guest who should be arriving any moment.  I actually went out and got some carrot sticks and celery and a few healthy looking donuts.  Because I’m awesome like that.

I’m having to do the set by myself today as Tom is very busy training his new acting apprentice, Mike Sorrentino.  Or you may know him better as The Situation from The Jersey Shore.  The paparazzi think Mike walked off the show last week, but the real secret is that he feels he has gone as far as he would like in the reality arena and has asked Tom to show him the acting ropes.  He said he was “friggin’ tired”of Snookie and the rest of the cast.  And my buddy Tom is totally standing beside himself with delight.  He hasn’t been this excited since the DVD came out of his movie Quigley Down Under.
Anyway, since Carolyn just walked in, lets take a few moments to talk to her and we’ll leave Tom and his apprentice to their own devices.  Sigh…Tom- please have Mike put his shirt back on.  Carolyn is not here to check out his abs.  Right, Carolyn?
Carolyn?

Suzy: So, tell me a little about yourself, your family, your other hobbies…

Carolyn: I’m a marketing consultant but these days I’m spending most of my time blogging, crafting and selling from my Etsy shop. I’m married and have one son who is almost fifteen. Beside the craft projects that you see on my blog, I enjoy gardening, the beach and watching my son’s sporting events.

Suzy: When and why did you start blogging, and where would you like your blogging to lead?
Carolyn: I started blogging about a year ago and I’m hooked. I’m not sure where my blogging will lead but I’m working to make my blog and shop my new career.

Suzy: Can you tell us a few things that most folks don’t know about you?
Carolyn: The one thing my blog never shows is what a messy crafter I am or how many “craft fails” I’ve had. On a personal note, I’m a morning person, I hate roller coasters and heights and whenever I drive somewhere I get lost.

Suzy: Can you give any new bloggers out there some pointers that you might have learned along the way?
Carolyn: The blogging community is very generous and can be very helpful. Reach out to blogs that you admire and make new blog friends. Most importantly, enjoy what you’re doing.

Suzy: Since I’m also kinda a sitcom blog, my buddy Tom wants to know if you have a favorite movie star.  Other than him of course.
Carolyn: Of course, other than Tom, I would have to say Harrison Ford or Matt Damon.

Suzy: This crafty blog community is full of wonderful folks.  Can you tell me what blogs inspire you?
Carolyn: There are so many wonderful blogs I don’t know where to begin. A few that I just love are; A Creative Mint, Heather Bullard and Creature Comforts.

Suzy: Can you tell us a little about what you are promoting right now?
Carolyn: Right now, my blog is focusing on summer projects. I also started hosting a link party called The Inspiration Board every Tuesday. I just love seeing all the projects linked up and the sharing of ideas.

Carolyn, thanks so much for stopping by!  You have such an amazingly beautiful blog!  Please take a few moments to swing by Carolyn’s site, Homework, to see what she currently has going on.  And don’t forget to check out her Etsy shop.  There is lots of California goodness going on there.

Well Tom’s been doing his best to walk Mike through some acting lessons and has given him some great suggestions. You know, like keeping your shirt on if you want folks to take you seriously.   Mike is also currently working on growing a mustache as Tom feels that is important.  Unfortunately, the ‘stache is not coming in as quickly as they’d like it to.  One has to be very special to grow one as impressive as Tom’s, and probably it is best to have reached puberty.  But a little eyebrow pencil does wonders in a pinch.  Just saying.

…and his stupid shirt is off again.

Carolyn, don’t look…

Seriously Mike, I have to say that if you don’t apply yourself and follow Tom’s lead, you might end up finding yourself as a “D Listed” celebrity whose famous for his ridiculous abs and a tanning bed tan; whose only options for employment are shows like “Jersey Shore”, “The Real World” , “Dancing with the Stars” and “The Apprentice”.

Oh wait, that already happened didn’t it? Sorry. Now I feel terrible.

Here let me pull out my National Enquirer collection.  I’m sure we will find you on a few covers.  That should cheer you up.  You know, you are doing a whole lot better right now than that Charlie Sheen guy.  Seriously.
