Our theme this week for the Photography Challenge is “stripes”. I am challenging myself and my readers to come up with a photo that emphasizes stripes without including the obvious flag. After all, with the Fourth of July just around the corner, I’m sure I’d be inundated by flags by mid week. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but where is the challenge?
Anyway, I happened to look out onto my back porch the other day and caught the dogs sunbathing. And I loved the contrast of the stripes on the porch with the warm reddish browns of the two dogs. They, on the other hand, were a bit perturbed that not only did I disturb their nap in the sun, but I had no dog treat to compensate for the inconvenience.
And it is quite obvious by just looking at them that they have been neglected in the food department, wouldn’t you say?
This photo was adjusted using the free software at Picmonkey.com to bring out the colors a bit and was cropped to emphasize our theme- stripes!
So how did you do?

This Weeks Submissions:
Stripes are on my granddaughter’s 16 birthday cake. The party was at the park and it was so windy we had to tape down the tablecloths.
Stripes on the beach towel I cut and turned into bathroom curtains to match the OU shower curtain.
Striped socks were cut to create cup cozy. Fast craft for children to identify their drink cup. ~Brenda Williams, Weatherford, OK- Cats, Kids and Crafts
