2012 Photography Challenge- Looking Down

by Susan Myers on September 29, 2012

This week, our theme is “looking down”.  I chose this particular photo because not only am I looking down, but the colors and light of this photo just make me happy.  This is the area of my work room right in front of the windows.  The selection of blues and reds, the beautiful natural light filtering through my stained glass, and the collections of egg and buttons bring a sense of calm and creativity.  It is one of my favorite places in my work room.

So how did you do?

Email your ‘looking down’ submissions to me!  Check out the Submission Guidelines.  I will post your photos here along with any information that you would like to include.  If you have a website, feel free to add a link to your site!  I will be taking ‘looking down’ submissions all week!  Feel free to send your original photo also!

Our theme for next week is “Boats”.  See the information at the bottom of the post for details!

This Week’s Submissions

The little bee was taken in Western Oklahoma. Stone steps are going down to my Mom’s patio in Northwest Arkansas and the view down to the creek is from Mom’s patio in Northwest Arkansas. ~Brenda Williams- Weatherford, OK – Cats, Kids and Crafts.

About a year ago, my husband and I managed to tack on a night at Niagara Falls after a conference we went to.  This was the view looking down from our room! ~Monica

Seashells

This is a picture looking down at some shells on the beach near Tampa Bay, on the Gulf Coast.  I did a “bit” of editing to get them to look this way. ~Marilyn

This photo was taken at Whaleshead Beach Oregon, and the layers of black sand were so pretty! I love working with black sand, it is just beautiful glued onto objects, or using in sand pictures, and it is fun to play with it, with magnets:) happy. Have a great week, Lisette

Next Weeks Theme- Boats!

Our theme for next week covers anything that floats.  We are looking for boats, ships, rafts, canoes, you name it.  Anything that floats will qualify.   Need a few examples?

See you back next week!
