Kmart’s Big Layaway Giveaway!

Seems like every year the holidays just sneak up on me.  When the kids were younger, this was the time of year when I would usually start buying holiday gifts when I had the money, and stashing them about the house.  Money was almost always an issue and a whole new world opened up from me when I discovered that I could easily lay away gifts at the store.  Paying a little at a time seemed so much easier than coming up with the cash all at once.

Kmart’s layaway program has always been a great deal.  But this year, they are offering free layaway for any purchases made from now until November 17.  That means they are waiving the service charges!  You can now layaway an item for Christmas and pay only the price of the item.

Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? When you compare Kmart layaway services with other retailers like Walmart, Best Buy and Toys R Us; Kmart already stands out in the crowd.

Free layaway sound great, but how about something even bigger?  Kmart is starting the buying season off with Kmart’s Big Layaway Giveaway!  Each store will be giving away prizes per week to lucky winners until November 17.  Just put your purchases on layaway and every week you have the chance to win your remaining balance paid off!  With every single store giving away a prize every week, the chances of winning are pretty darn awesome.  Wouldn’t that be a great Christmas gift?

Since I’m a collector of miniatures, I have always loved the Collectible Christmas villages.  I set up a nice display every year on my coffee table in the living room.  But I have to tell you the individual pieces of those tiny towns are quite expensive.

And wouldn’t you know it, Kmart offers some great pieces of the Lemax Village Collection.  Each piece has individual moving parts and lights and just plain awesomeness. High quality, but expensive.  But guess what?  There is layaway!  And maybe even the possibility of winning one of the pieces for free!

So, I’m on my way to Kmart right now to lay away some great village pieces to expand on my collection this year.  Maybe I’ll win and maybe I won’t, but either way, I’m getting a great deal!
