Our photography challenge for this week was food photography! If you are anything like me, I’m betting you take plenty of photos of food. I challenged you this week to come up with your best photo of edibles, and we already have some great submissions!
But before we begin, please take a few moments to check out some of the amazing photos submitted last week, when our theme was the word vibrant!
This photo was taken on our trip up the coast of California and Oregon last summer. Yes, you will be seeing lots of photos from that trip. I took over 500 photos, believe it or not. The coast is so beautiful and that totally includes the food. This is my husband’s dinner of clams. We were on the Oregon coast, and felt compelled to eat some of the local cuisine. Beautiful aren’t they? Almost too pretty to eat. Almost. Ha!
This photo was taken with my Canon SX30IS and edited using the free software at picmonkey.com.
So how did you do?
It’s not too late! Email your Food Photography submissions to me! Check out the Submission Guidelines. I will post your photos here along with any information that you would like to include. If you have a website, feel free to add a link to your site! I will be taking Food Photography submissions all week! Feel free to send your original photo!

I also ran across this photo when looking for food photo challenge photos…LOL…thought you would get a laugh out of some really OLD FOOD. My husband and I got married on July 4, 1986 at 4 pm and he was my 4th husband….thought all that would be easier to remember! We got married at his brother’s ranch and a couple hundred people attended. There was a huge BBQ, lots of kegs of beer and his brother raised bucking bulls, so they also had a bull buck off…crazy day! We set up the cake and stuff on the carport in front of the house…my friend Ruby made the cake. It was a really really hot July 4th…had to transport that cake two miles on a gravel road…buttercream icing…OMG…it was fun!~ ~ Brenda Williams- Weatherford, OK- Cats, Kids and Crafts

Next Week’s Challenge – Birds!
Last year, when we did the bird photography challenge, we had some amazing submissions! In my travels, I tend to take lots of bird photos. So, I have decided to challenge you again to come up with some great bird shots. Have anything unusual to show us? Something particularly colorful? Need a couple ideas?
So go grab that camera and take your best shots! I’ll see you back here next week!
