This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Home Depot & Rubbermaid, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #AllAccessOrganizers  http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO.”

On a recent trip to Home Depot, I ran across these great Rubbermaid All Access™ Organizers.  Perfect for craft storage, or any other type of organization.  I immediately thought about my perpetually messy craft room, and bought two of these cool storage bins immediately!

The old craft room is constantly in a state of confusion.  You see, I easily have at least five projects going on at the same time.  If I didn’t have a day job that requires me to go to work 8 hours a day, I would probably move into that room permanently.  The family would have to send a search crew in every now and then just to be sure I was wasn’t buried under some avalanche of crafty goodness.

I’ve cleaned the room before, as documented in this post;  but it does tend to work it’s way back to unorganized. Take for instance, this current method for storing yarn.  Granted it is in a box and not all over the bottom of my closet any more.  But the main issue with this type of storage is I cannot see what I have in an easy glance.

I generally organize by stacking boxes.  It makes life a little neater, but there are inherent problems with this type of storage.  First, even by marking the bins with a sharpie, I am not always entirely sure what is inside them.  Sure it says “craft kits”, but really?  How do I remember what is in there?  Second, in order to get to any of these boxes and take a look inside, I have to unstack and re-stack them.

Here is a great solution for not only organizing supplies, but being able to see what you have and being able to get to it without stacking and un-stacking!  Rubbermaid All Access™ Organizers can be found at your local Home Depot in several sizes and colors at a great price!

Simply open the clear door in the front and you have full access to everything inside.  Or leave the door closed and open the lid on the top!  I love the fact that you can see everything inside and do not have to unstack boxes to get to it!

I decided to put a ton of my huge collection of acrylic paints in the other bin.
