Easy to make Single Use Fall Leaf Soaps!

Fall is my favorite season.  I love the crisp smell of a fall day, the beautiful colors of the leaves in the trees, apple cider, pumpkins and corn mazes.  I was hoping that since we have been working in Maine that we would see some amazing leaf colors before we have to pick up and head for Florida for the winter.  Unfortunately, we will be leaving this week and Fall is still gathering itself together for it’s big show.

So in an effort to bring Fall a little closer, I decided to create some fun Single Use Fall Leaf soaps.

You will be surprised at how easy these are to make!  Tuck a few of them in a ziplock bag and store them in your purse, and you have a little single use soap the next time you need one!  These not only make great gifts, but who wouldn’t want a little fall color in your purse?

So, want to know how to make those fun soaps?

We start with some Fall leaves!  Well, not real ones.  We have to go with silk leaves.  (You can find them in your local craft store in the floral section).

Oh, and we need some Melt and Pour Glycerin Soap Base.

That’s all!

I told you this was a simple project!

Cut up some 1″ pieces of soap base and put them in a microwave safe cup or bowl.

Microwave on high for about a minute and 30 seconds.  (Do not allow it to boil).

Dip the silk leaves into the soap base one by one.  Lift with a fork and drain, then place on a piece of wax paper.

Allow to dry for a few minutes, then re-dip each leaf for a second coat of soap.

Pretty, right?  In just a few minutes I have a house full of fall leaves.
