Welcome to another Commercial Break Thursday!  Today we are featuring Anna from Directions Not Included.  Anna’s blog is very original.  It seems that she and her husband purchased a house that could truly be deemed a “fixer upper”.  Her blog centers around the progress, the trials and errors, and the ultimate satisfaction of making the house truly their own.

Anna says, “We clearly have problems and lack the mental filter that prevents normal people from taking on too much. Normal people would have probably walked away from the house considering our job and school commitments but we jumped and put in an offer on the spot. My mother-in-law cried every time she came over for the first month and a half before we moved in. I think she has finally stopped crying…”

Her blog has us follow them as they deal with termites, pirate ship wallpaper, giant litterboxes in the family room and hand painted formica cabinets.  And in the end, Anna’s great sense of style wins out and we start to see a beautiful pheonix rising from the ashes.
