Flower Bulbs Dig Drop Done

The addition of plants and flowers to a landscape can totally change the way you feel about your space.  Their calming, beautifying effects make it a place that you will go back to over and over again.

The folks at Curbside Chaos awarded an amazing yard makeover to one very lucky family.  And the transformation was just amazing.  Be sure to check out the video where host, Taniya Nayak totally transforms a back yard with a $5000 dollar planting makeover!

Right now, you can help the folks at Curbside Chaos earn money for Rebuilding Together, the nations leading non-profit, working to preserve homeownership and revitalizing communities.  A truly worthy cause.  For every share on Twitter with the hashtag #Curbside Chaos or #Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done., they will donate $1.00 to this worthy organization.

Here in Georgia, it can be difficult to grow beautiful plants, especially in the summer when it gets incredibly hot and dry.  I can tell you that my yard could totally use a $5000 makeover too!  Between the hot dry summer and my total lack of planting knowledge, my back yard currently resembles the plains of the sahara.  Well, with a few tumbleweeds and such to break it up a bit.

The back yard of my dreams….Planting knowledge; that is where I’m lacking.  But I discovered Curbside Chaos has a “Garden Guru” on their home page that is incredibly simple to use.  It will help you choose bulbs that will grow in your area of the country, and send you to visit www.digdropdone.com to learn more about planting them!

All you have to do is:

  1. Pick your country
  2. Pick your location within your country
  3. Choose the type of bulb you want to grow
  4. Check out the planting guide that shows you how to grow that bulb

Easy enough even for a total yard dork like me!

And did you know that bulbs go way beyond just gardening?  Bulbs can be used for indoor decor too!  And I can tell you that totally interests the crafter in me!  They can be used in anything from interior to exterior design, to creative gift giving and decoration, to entertaining activities for children and family!  Bulbs are not just for gardeners!

Be sure to visit www.digdropdone.com to learn more about planting and maintaining beautiful flower bulbs.  And visit the ladies of Dig Drop Done!  Evelyn, the empty nester, and I have a lot in common.  Besides having children out of the house, we both now have more time to dedicate to things like gardening.  All the ladies there have some great ideas to help keep your flowers beautiful.
