Now we are going to assemble the frame! Quit laughing at the photo. Big hair was totally in. Just saying. Anyway… line up four craft sticks, two plain and two decorated as shown above. Overlap the plain ones about 1/4 inch over the photo.
Use hot glue to glue two more decorated sticks down as shown overlapping about 1/4 inch over the photo. (The hot glue does not touch the photo)
Over lap two more decorated sticks as shown above and hot glue them down.
And one final set of sticks overlapping the last set- hot glued down! The frame is a separate item from the photo. I used a bit of painters tape on the back to attach the photo to the frame. This will not damage the photo, but keeps it in place.
Now we create the base! Line up three plain sticks as shown.
Hot glue a plain stick and a decorated stick on top, leaving a space between them that is about the thickness of a stick.
Hot glue a plain stick on its side in the groove between the two top sticks. This will serve as a holder for your frame.
Slide the frame overtop of the holder. Awesome-sauce!
Now onto the matching pencil holder! I used a green bean can, but any can will work!
Simply use hot glue to glue the sticks onto the outside of the can. Finish by adding matching ribbons to both.
And there you have it! A cool looking sparkly desk set!
This is a perfect gift for a teacher, or Mother’s Day or Father’s Day! (For Dad you might want to leave off the bows!)
