Wrap the container with several layers of burlap ribbon, attaching with hot glue. Then hot glue on the embroidered hearts and bone.
Use matching ribbons to embellish the rest of the container.
Here you can see my pickle jar container also. For it’s lid, I used all purpose paint in hot pink, allowed it to dry and hot glued ribbon trim.
To make the cute bone tops, roll out some polymer clay. (Soften it between your hands and then roll out with your hands or a bottle to flatten it). Use the smaller bone pattern and a craft knife to cut out the shape.
Place the cut out polymer clay bones onto a foil covered pan and put in a 200 degree oven for about 25 minutes. Once cool, they will harden. Simply hot glue them onto the tops of the jars!
I filled up my new containers and showed them to the dogs. They seemed very appreciative of my embroidery skills. After they got a treat, of course…
