Our guest this week is from Utah, USA!

Today we are welcoming Nichelle from Vintage Wanna Bee to our Green Room. She is coming all the way in from Utah. Seems like all my craft bloggers lately have long flights in. So I asked my buddy Tom Selleck and his mustache to be sure to have the room set up nicely for her arrival.

I have been allowing The Tonight Show to use my Green Room lately when theirs is too full and this week, they asked me to house Lady Gaga. Which is totally fine. She eats like a bird and rarely says anything at all. In fact, she’s been sitting inside the egg that she was transported in all morning long.

Apparently, she has wifi in there, because I can make out her typing away on her laptop. And about an hour ago, she requested a Hot Pocket from her assistant and microwaved it herself. It seems the egg has a mini kitchen in it, right next to the jacuzzi. That’s one heck of an egg.

We had gotten everything set up and Nichelle had just arrived, when in popped Michael Lohan and a large group of paparazzi. It seems he wanted to appear on The Tonight Show and do a press conference to state that he was no longer going to do press conferences regarding Lindsay. Since they wouldn’t let him in, he decided to show up here to do his conference regarding no press conferences. You know- about Lindsay. An anti-press conference-conference. Or something like that.

Mr. Lohan immediately helped himself to the buffet, rolled Lady Gaga out of the way and instructed the cameramen to start filming. I have to say I’m a bit irritated with the whole thing, not to mention that he is doing his stupid anti conference-conference with a mouth full of pilphered chicken wings. I asked Tom to round up some of Lady Gaga’s body guards and have him evicted. Chicken wings are not cheap.

Just saying.

So, while Tom goes and gets some help, I think Nichelle and I will get out of camera range and sit down for an interview.

What?  I heard the camera adds 10 pounds and that I don’t need!

Suzy: So, Nichelle, when and why did you start blogging, and where would you like your blogging to lead?
Nichelle: I started blogging in January of 2010, but that wasn’t my “Vintage Wanna Bee Blog”.  I started a blog after I was in a serious accident. That blog is “The Peg Leg Diaries.” It’s called the Peg Leg Diaries because after a surgery that went wrong, my left ankle became paralyzed. That blog was to document all of my crazy experiences. After awhile, I decided I wanted a more creative outlet, and that’s why I started Vintage Wanna Bee. It’s been so fun to meet so many “bloggy BFF’s” throught this whole experience!

Nichelle: I blog because I want to blog, my blog doesn’t have to go anywhere for me to happy, I blog because I love sharing who I am, what I believe, what I create and because I love sharing that with all of YOU!
Suzy: Can you tell us a few things that most folks don’t know about you?
Nichelle: Most people don’t know that anything is wrong with my foot (well, now you know…) i have a brace that you can’t see underneath pants which makes it possible for me to do everything normally, so most don’t know that I have that struggle in my life.

Nichelle: Most people would guess chocolate is my favorite food, which it is one of them, but my top favorite food, well there’s a tie, it’s between garden green beans and grapefruit. Weird, I know. I also sing in the shower when I’m home alone, and I randomly dance all the time. I have read Pride and Prejudice over 30 times… and I have a very LARGE obession with Disney Princesses.

Suzy: Your blog is a wonderful collection of craftiness. Can you tell me what inspires your posts?
Nichelle:I did a whole “collection” inspired by Disney Princesses. But, normally, I just take my likes and interests and turn them into something crafty. I love just sitting down at my craft table and just letting the inspiration come and create as I go. Creating is really an outlet for me to get emotions out. I love making things with my hands and making something from nothing.

Suzy: I know you have a very busy life. I also know first hand how time-consuming a good blog is. How do you schedule it all in?
Nichelle:I cheat and I put some of my posts to schedule to post at certain times. I have a planner that is filled to the brim. I also have learned to take a break when I need one.

Suzy: Since I’m also kinda a sitcom blog, Tom wants to know if you have a favorite movie star. Besides himself, of course…
Nichelle: HANDS DOWN it’s Patrick Dempsey, he is delicious.

Suzy: This bloggy community is full of wonderful folks. Can you tell me what blogs inspire you?
Nichelle: I love blogs that are personal, funny, crafty and you feel like you know the person on the other end. Tops faves are, Little Miss Momma, The Daybook, Busy Bee Lauren and Elise’s Pieces.

Suzy: Can you tell us a little about what you are promoting right now? Any upcoming events? Your Etsy shop?
Nichelle: I hope you all have time to visit my etsy shop!

Nichelle:I also have giveaway’s each week on my blog, so I hope you come check those out! And I have a weekly linky party called Talent Tuesday!

Suzy: Nichelle, thanks so much for taking the time to stop by!  It has been a real pleasure meeting you. Please take a moment to swing by and visit Nichelle at Vintage Wanna Bee and check out all the fun things she has going on.  Her blog is full of inspiration, craftiness, fashion and just plain fun.

Well, it looks like we need to go help Tom. Seems that when Mr. Lohan pushed Lady Gaga aside to do his anti-conference-conference, the momentum caused her and her egg to roll down the handicap ramp and she is currently rolling at a good pace down Main street. Tom and all of Oprah’s body guards are doing their best to keep up with her, but traffic is kinda heavy. I’m thinking she’s gonna be pretty mad when she gets out of that thing.

I’m betting that her Hot Pocket is totally ruined.
