DIY Holiday Gift Ideas- 5 Cool Kids DIY Kitchen Sets!

I’m a big fan of recycled and upcycled crafts, and frankly sometimes a recycled gift is even better than a purchased one! As part of the holiday celebration on the Sitcom this year, I want to present to you some great DIY ideas that cost little money, but will totally be the hit of the season.  We are starting with some amazing kitchen sets created from old entertainment centers and other used furniture meant for the dump.  These are fabulous creations, and I hope they give you lots of ideas for some cool plans of your own

Starting with this cool apple green kitchen set created by Sharley from Double Take Decor .  It started out as the lowly entertainment center pictured above.  What a great way to convert an old piece of furniture!  On this one, I particularly love the tile counters.  Very cute!  Be sure to check out her site for the tutorial!

Planet of the Apels  Kirby and Charlie created this cute blue kitchen set from a cheap entertaiment unit meant for the trash pile.  You know, I bet the parents have just as much fun creating these things as the kids have playing with them!  Check out their website for a full tutorial.

From the blog, Hyggelig,  Catherine from Germany created this cute little kitchen set from a small storage table.  Very sweet.

Kate from Kate’s Creative Space  took one look at this little forlorn child’s work table and thought “BBQ Grill!”  Well, of course!  My favorite part?  Well check out those little skewers of food!  All handmade by Kate!  Check out her site to see how it is done.  This one is making me wish I still had young kids at home

This cute boy’s kitchen was made by Chelsea from McBaby Bump from another entertainment center.  You know, I see these and I’m totally mad at mysef for getting rid of my last two entertainment centers.  They could have been fabulous!  Be sure to check out her tutorial along with lots of other great family ideas!

Pretty cool, right?  I know these ideas have made me look at furniture a whole other way.  So keep your eyes open at the thrift store look at the furniture in a different light.  You just might come up with something amazing!
