3. I have been doing some test knitting for a few designers on Ravelry and finished a pair of socks. The pattern is called Opus 200, by Linda Carroll and Mel Browne. You can find the pattern here. The pattern is easy to memorize and is a great lace pattern for someone who might be new to lace. Simple to learn and the charts are easy to follow. I used Spud and Chloe fingering weight yarn in the shade of “Lipstick” and for the ribbon edge, I used Deborah Norville fashion yarn in the color “Paper Flowers”.
4. You can’t see the daughter’s face in the photos, but suffice it to say, there was much eye-rolling and dejected sighs going on there. Seems that my sock model is not fond of modeling socks. She can’t understand why I take such delight in knitting socks when I can just purchase them at Wal-Mart. Why? Because I can. And they are awesome.
5. And I found out this week that apparently my daughter’s dog, Lady, is a vegetarian. Who knew? Apparently, my salads are no longer safe. I sat the salad down and then saw something shiny in my craft room and was gone for a bit. Upon returning, I find a lettuce catastrophe and a guilty looking dog. My hubby of course had to remind me that I shouldn’t have left food on the table unattended. But really? A salad? I guess that is how she keeps her slim figure…
6. I wonder if they make tofu flavored dog food?
