Marvin the Mummy Contest!

Marvin the Mummy is now a world traveler!  Poor Marvin has been trapped in the deep bowels of an ancient pyramid for centuries and now that he is out and about, he’d love to see the world!  How would you like to help him?  Well, now is your chance!  Take a few moments, a few empty toilet paper rolls, some toilet paper and make your own personal Marvin the Mummy following the directions on my tutorial.

Then take your Marvin and feature him in a photo.  Attach your photo to the link list below or share it on my Suzy Sitcom Facebook wall for an entry in the Marvin the Mummy contest!
And what can you win?  Well how about an awesome toilet paper roll cover for you bathroom?  Because how much more appropriate can you get?  Hand crocheted by me, I will send you this fabulous, one-of-a-kind, awesome conversation piece for your guest bathroom, designed by Stefanie Girard at Craftside.  The perfect solution for hiding that pesky extra roll of toilet paper.  How fabulous is that? You know you want one!

Here is Marvin with my sister Lynda and here he is by the pool. (Marvin is made of super absorbant 2-ply, so he chose not to actually swim…)

Marvin traveled with us to our family reunion in Tybee Island.  He was the life of the party.

The Marvin the Mummy contest ends on Saturday, October 15.  So take a few moments, make yourself a Marvin and pose him!  Help our buddy Marvin see the world!

I had a lot of fun making my mummy, I can't wait until the next contest. I love your site. Thank you for getting me away from the computer and getting my creative flow back in motion. Trying to work on halloween costumes for my friends kids. will post the pictures when I am done. I hope it ends up well. Thank you for getting my artist flow back in motion. Amy.

I apologize for not getting Marvin's travels up in time for the contest. I have not forgotten I have been overwhelmingly busy. I have the post half written and just need to attach the great number of photos. Wish I knew how to make a cut/link so that the photos don't spam my blog's entire front page, but that will have to wait until I have time to figure it out. I'll get it up as soon as I can. Thanks for posting the contest. Even though we didn't get entered in time we sure had a lot of fun. My little girl adores Marvin and some of the people we met really got a kick out of him too.
