Show and Tell Time! Some Awesome Reader Submissions!

Did you create a project from the Sitcom?  We want to see it!  I get quite a bit of email every day, and occasionally along with that, a reader will share a project that they created using one of my tutorials.  It totally makes my day!  Here are a few that were sent to me this week…

Cheryl created this beautiful back splash using my Faux Tin Tiles Tutorial.  I love how she used a couple of the tile patterns, but painted each one differently, giving them each a unique look.  I’m also a huge fan of her color choices!  These tiles actually make a great back splash, in fact that is what I did with mine.  I do suggest though, that you spray a coating of clear varnish to protect the paint.  It makes it easier to wipe off any splatters.  Fabulous job, Cheryl!

Pam sent me the following note, “Thank you… BTW.. Love your site . I started a DIY group in our community (55+) and have made a few of your projects.  After I made your faux metal art  I adapted it to fit a discarded kitchen cabinet door that I had to replace.  I love it.  Here is a picture attached”.

If you know me, you know I love recycled crafts!  And this one took it in new directions!  I love the use of color and the fact that she reflected some of the wood color into the tiles.  Beautiful job!!

Christine taught my Faux Stained Glass technique to a group of seniors at the nursing home last week.  The projects were completed by 70, 80 and 90 year olds, a few of which are rehab patients that have had surgery or strokes.

And they did amazing work!!  Thank you, Christine, for sharing their projects with us!  And thank you so much for all that you do!
