Christmas Challenge with Craft Klatch!

Yep.  I know September is just a bit early to be talking about Christmas crafting, but if you love to make gifts and decorations for the holidays, then starting early can be a great plan!  So with a bit of holiday crafting in mind, I wanted to introduce you to my friend Mona from Craft Klatch.  Mona has challenged me to a little crafting competition.  And you know how I love a crafty challenge…

Mona is a master crafter specializing in craft videos.  She lives on YouTube, posting new craft videos three times a week.  Over the past few years, she has created hundreds of fun tutorials.  You can check out  the CraftKlatch YouTube channel, or her website CraftKlatch for lots of great crafty ideas.

Mona has a never ending supply of fun ideas.  She’s my kind of crafter!  In fact, you might remember her from about a year ago when I featured her Metal Embossed Fish tutorial which was based off of my Faux Tin Tiles idea.  For those that need a bit more instruction on how to emboss cookie sheets, this video is extremely helpful.

Mona and I think a lot alike.  I see a gourd and make a Gossiping Paisley Chicken or Paisley Puffer Fish.  Mona?  She makes an alien!  Why of course!

As for Christmas crafts, Mona has a ton of them to choose from.  One of my favorites is this snowflake votive idea. Mona found some clear votives at the Dollar Store and created something just beautiful.  And you will be surprised at how easy they are to make!

With so many crafty ideas swirling through our heads, it was just natural for Mona and I to team up.  And you get to follow along!  Not only will you get to see some new fun Christmas crafts, but you will also get a look at how our crafty thought processes come together.

The Challenge…

Mona has challenged me to create a Christmas decoration using toilet paper tubes and buttons.  Yes, toilet paper tubes!!  You know I will have fun with this!  And that box above?  That is just one of many.  You never know when you are going to need toilet paper tubes, do you?

Luckily, I was prepared.

So stay tuned to the Sitcom.  I have two weeks to come up with something amazing.  And Mona will be creating too.  On September 29, we will both reveal our projects.

The winner?  Well, that will be you because you will have two new crafty holiday ideas just in time for holiday crafting!
