How to cook pizza on the grill!
Now that we live full time in our RV, I’m always trying to come up with new ideas for the grill. You see, if I come up with the idea, the husband does all the cooking! It’s a win-win type of thing! So this week, it occurred to me that pizza just might taste pretty awesome made on the grill!
Looks good doesn’t it? Well, it is delicious! And easy to make too! Well, especially because all I had to do was assemble it. The husband won’t let me touch his fancy grill.
Did I mention how much I love the grill!
And there is not much to wash afterwards either!
Want to know how to cook it?
For this recipe I used:
1 lb. Ground Sausage
2 Ready Made Pizza Crusts
Pizza Sauce
Green Peppers
Mushrooms
Mozzarella Cheese
Brown the sausage and drain.
Chop up the green peppers.
Spread pizza sauce onto the pizza crusts.
Top with mozzarella cheese.
Add the rest of your toppings along with a bit more mozzarella cheese on the top.
Meanwhile, have the hubby warm up the grill. If you use charcoal like we do, be sure the coals are white.
Cover the grill with a layer of thick aluminum foil and place the pizza on top. After the crust starts to brown, close the lid of the grill to melt the cheese and heat up the toppings.
At this point, your camper neighbors will start looking at you funny. Ignore them. They have no idea what they are missing…
Carefully remove the pizza from the grill when the crust has browned and the toppings are hot and melted.
Then sit back and enjoy the beautiful outdoors as you eat some amazing pizza!
