Thank you to Artterro Eco Art Kits for sponsoring this awesome giveaway! All opinions are my own.
The nice folks at Artterro asked me to come up with a project using their Wool Felt Bug Kit. Hmmm… bugs… But it turns out that bugs can totally be cute! I took on the challenge and came up with a Cute as a Bug! DIY frame.
I’ll show you how to make it, and if you hang in there, at the bottom of the post you have a chance to win a Wool Felt Bug Kit of your very own! So how about some cuteness in the form of bugs?
The craft kits from Artterro are not only all-inclusive, but contain high quality materials that are sure to inspire. Each kit challenges you or your child to create something amazing. The end result is something that you and your children can cherish for years to come!
Their new and improved kits contain even more supplies and lots of great ideas! If you have never visited Artterro’s website, you really need to check them out! I love the variety of kits and love the fact that these are craft kits that you won’t see just anywhere.
Let’s take a look at the Wool Felt Bug Kit!
Kit Includes: Colorful thick felt shapes (100% real wool), fun ribbon, glass and wood beads, seed beads, sequins, colorful craft thread, needles, threader, and instruction booklet.
For this project, you will also need:
One wooden frame
Hot glue gun
Matte Mod Podge
…and a cute photo of course!
Begin by painting the frame with acrylic paint. Any color will do!
While the frame is drying, it is time to assemble bugs! I just love the variety of supplies! I was able to come up with some wild and crazy bugs. The kids would have a blast with this!
There are options to sew, using the supplied needle and colorful embroidery floss, or you can go the route I did and grab the hot glue gun!
After the frame is dry, add in the wording, “Cute as a Bug”. I used a stencil for my lettering, drawing it on with pencil first and then filling in with acrylic paint.
Then glue on your bugs!
This one is my favorite. His name is Elmer.
…just in case you wanted to know…
Then just add your photo and there you have it!
This little frame is just one of many possibilities with the Artterro Wool Felt Bug Kit. I’m betting the kids would love a chance to make their own bugs this summer.
