We are concerned about our buddy Ralph. You see, Ralph has a new obsession. There is apparently some sort of animal that has taken up residence in our backyard that Ralph has an issue with. When he is outside, he spends his time digging large holes or barking up trees. When he is inside, he…
How about a sweet little wrapped ornament for your tree? Those ribbons you see are actually paper. And such an easy project too! Each ornament took about 20 minutes to create and they make an unusual addition to your Christmas tree. Want to know how they are made? For this project I used: A 4″…
Originally posted in October 2010 on The Sitcom Every Friday night is date night for us. We used to go to the same Italian restaurant every Friday, but they closed down last summer and we’ve been on a never-ending quest to find a replacement ever since. Last week we tried a place that I just…
This post brought to you by Comfort Zone® products. All opinions are 100% mine. This is Bam Bam. Looking sweet and innocent as only a little puppy can do. Bam Bam belongs to my daughter and her husband. Since my daughter and her husband were living with us up until recently, little Bam Bam was…
Well, look who I found gossiping away on my front porch! A gaggle of paisley chickens! You know, chickens are notorious for just clucking away about all the latest tidbits. Who grabbed who’s hair on the latest episode of Housewives of Atlanta. Who just got out of rehab? What happened last night on Honey Boo Boo?…
Since my girls have grown up and moved out, the house has become a lot quieter. Sometimes that is a good thing, as now my husband and I can relax in an un-drama-fied environment. If you are familiar with raising girls, then I’m sure you are familiar with the drama. Every day was a new…
Another blast from the past, this post was originally published on Oct 19, 2010. Nothing has changed. Seriously… Last weekend, we took the motorcycle out to Birmingham to check out an antique motorcycle show. It is nearly a two hour ride and I was amazed at how well my butt did this time. Either I’m…
My grandmother was a crafter too. She was amazingly talented with sewing, crocheting, cooking…well, you name it. I like to think that I got some of my talent from her. When she passed away a few years ago, I was given her collection of unfinished craft kits that she had stored in her attic. You…
Originally posted on Sept 9, 2010- a little bit of humor for your week! This is Sandy, our senior citizen German Shepherd. Sandy is a sweet, but cranky old lady with a bit of arthritis, a few issues with her hips and a slight bladder control problem. We can’t hardly fault her for being a…
This pattern is the latest in my Premium Pattern offerings. I had a reader request that I come up with a Mermaid, and well, the rest is history. Like any of my patterns, the movement and design of this pattern can be recreated as shown here in embossed aluminum, painted in acrylic on any surface,…
I spent some time teaching a class using one of my premium patterns this past weekend. One of the requests from that class was to supply simpler patterns for those that would like to work their way up to the more challenging ones. So in answer to that request, I came up with a simpler…
My husband and I are creatures of habit. We have our established routines. We both have odd hobbies in common such as looking at houses even when we aren’t buying, and of course, people watching. They say there is someone for everyone and oddly enough, he likes doing the same things that I do. Who’d…
Still on the beach this week, so I’m bringing back another oldie, but goodie. Originally posted on the Sitcom, November 18, 2011. This past week, my mom passed out the assignments for Thanksgiving dinner. We all are required to bring certain dishes to help her feed approximately 30 family members. My sister-in-law got assigned broccolli…
This post brought to you by No nonsense. All opinions are 100% mine. I have to admit that I am totally not a fashion forward individual. My idea of high fashion involves a plastic hair clip and my good Sponge-Bob t-shirt. Seriously. So when the nice folks at No nonsense asked me to talk about…
When the nice folks at RIT Dye sent me a box of their liquid dyes to try out, I’m betting they never expected a shelf full of monsters. But that’s just kind of the way we roll around here at The Sitcom. Never having dealt with RIT Dye before, I did a bit of research…
