A group of my friends and family have been exchanging Christmas ornaments with each other every year for the past 18 years. We make an ornament for each member of the group and meet the first Saturday in December to exchange them. That means a crafting party, folks! My kind of fun.
Since there is usually about 15-20 members each year, that means there are lots of hungry crafters to feed. I put together two easy dipping sauces recipes and egg rolls and spring rolls. Perfect for a gathering of hungry crafters.

A lot of ornaments you say?
Heck, yeah. I started out with one huge artificial tree. As the ornaments grew plentiful, I would put the ones that were not my favorites in the back of the tree and my absolute favorites would get center stage in front. Of course, my sister knew this and would always check my tree when she came over to be sure that none of her hand-made ornaments were in the back. (I was always careful to move them to the front when I knew she was coming over…)

And these are just a few of the things we have come up with over the years!
So what to feed this crowd of crafters? I opted for simple appetizers. Frozen Egg Rolls and Spring Rolls and two dipping sauces!
Tangy Oriental Dipping Sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 tsp sesame oil
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp chopped green onions
1 tbsp. water
2 tbsp hoisin sauce
1/4 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp sugar
Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl. Refrigerate overnight. When ready to serve, heat to warm up in the microwave.
Yummy Sweet and Sour Dipping Sauce
Now this is an easy recipe! Just grab the packets of dipping sauce that are already included in your boxes of Tai Pei Egg Rolls and Spring rolls, mix them together, and there you go! My kind of cooking!
And they are easy enough to pop in the oven and heat up in about 20 minutes. Finger food is perfect when you have hungry folks waiting.
Create something fun and easy to make to feed the folks at your next family gathering!
