Gosh, I have so much to blog about and so little time. Such is the season. My company is very holiday spirity and they send out literally thousands of hand-signed Christmas cards every year. So it is my job to distribute them around the company and get multiple signatures on each and every card and…
For my ornament club this year, I’ve decided to go with a paper mache item. I can’t get more detailed here as several of my club members read my blogs, but suffice it to say that naturally, I chose something that takes forever to do. My husband says I’m a glutton for punishment. Well, with…
In honor of Halloween, I’ve decided to share two scary stories with you. At least they were scary to me and my husband. So sit back and be prepared to be frightened. Or in the very least slightly embarrassed for us. It’s okay. We are embarrassed for ourselves too. It’s kinda a hobby… You see, I…
So…Where do you want to go? When my husband and I went on our first date, we had a conversation that should have prepared me for all future outings with this oddly interesting, captivating guy. It went something like this: Him: “Where would you like to go eat?” Me: “Anywhere would be fine”. Him: “It’s…
Last weekend, we took the motorcycle out to Birmingham, AL to check out an antique motorcycle show. It is nearly a two hour ride and I was amazed at how well my butt did this time. Either I’m breaking in the seat, or the motorcycle is finally breaking me in. Of course, it probably helped…
We took the motorcycle out again this past weekend and checked out an antique and craft show up in Alpharetta. The show was nice and I got lots of great ideas. Unfortunately, we had to sit in every single red light getting there and a 45 mile trip actually took us over two hours. Motorcycles…
Every Friday night is date night for me and my husband. We used to go to the same Italian restaurant every Friday, but they closed down last summer and we’ve been on a never-ending quest to find a replacement ever since. Last week we tried a place that I just happened to run across while…
This past weekend, we took the motorcycle and went to the Chili Cook-off in Stone Mountain. Yep. Probably not the best idea for someone that is trying to get a hold on that food-eating thing, but my husband suggested it and I really never like to turn down something he suggests. Simply because he does…
My husband bought a Harley last year and we’ve done our best to put some mileage on it since. Unfortunately, the weather has been a bit against us, first by being very cold until late spring and then it made up for it by being ridiculously hot all summer. But we have enjoyed getting out…
There is Sandy, our senior citizen German Shepherd. Sandy is a sweet, but cranky old lady with a bit of arthritis, a few issues with her hips and a slight bladder control problem. Can’t hardly fault her for being a bit cranky with all those issues. But that isn’t why she’s in trouble. Over the…
Along with the rest of the country, we seem to be suffering through a particularly hot and humid summer this year. Which seemed to result in my husband and I avoiding things that make us go outside. Really, not the best for everyone as I need to get exercise in my day or I can…
