I live in Atlanta, but I’m not originally from the south. We moved to the Atlanta area from the north when I was 15. I’m not going to say how many years ago that was, but suffice it to say, I sound like a born and bred southerner now. When we moved here the culture…
Many years ago, I discovered salt dough. I love the fact that the supplies are readily available in my kitchen, and are very inexpensive. You can make most anything with salt dough! My very first project was a Bear Christmas Ornament. Then I moved onto a Beary Nice Teachers gift. In honor of the back…
Summer is coming to a close and it is time to start thinking about putting together some Back to School Crafts! Here at the Sitcom, there are plenty of tutorials for back to school items like book covers, messenger bags, laptop cases and more. So, I put together my crafty ideas with a few I…
This post brought to you by Piccadilly Restaurants. All opinions are 100% mine. My husband and I like a routine. We spend every Friday night doing the same thing. We go out to eat at our favorite restaurant and then go to the mall to do some people watching while drinking coffee. We love the…
This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #AddCoolWhip #CollectiveBias I’m a huge fan of quick and easy snacks. Heck, any recipe that takes no time to make and tastes good is totally up my alley. I love to craft. Hanging out in the kitchen? Not…
Many folks think that being an artist only entails the creative side of the brain. However, you would be surprised at how much math and science contributes to many of my projects. Math is a huge contributor to my quilt patterns. Especially when I need to calculate all quilt sizes for one pattern, amounts of…
I love the Muppets. Yep, I know I’m a bit old for those things, but sometimes you just need a breath of fresh air. Maybe I never truly grew up, or maybe I just need a Muppet fix now and then. Oh, and I have a thing for Beeker. So there you go. I created a…
My latest post for Another Cent Saved is now on line! I created this pretty Mosaic Glass Candle Lantern from a recycled jar and dollar store decorative glass! In my house, nobody is allowed to throw away anything that has crafty potential. With that said, I have bins of toilet paper tubes, and plastic and glass containers sitting around waiting…
We took another trip in our RV this past week and visited the cool crafty town of Franklin, NC. While we were there, I tried out my latest campfire recipe, Teriyaki Orange Beef Shish Kebabs. This is an easy recipe that you can make ahead of time so that when it comes to dinnertime while…
I have been actively trying to lose weight since last year and recently have decided to try out the Slimfast 14-Day Slimdown. It is an easy plan that fits well with my manically busy schedule and seems to be working for me. I’m already down six pounds! The plan includes Slimfast products along with a healthy,…
I am a member of the Collective Bias® Social Fabric® Community. This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper amplification for Collective Bias and its advertiser. #ValueCards #CollectiveBias Summertime can get hectic. I have to admit that I’m pretty scatterbrained, year ’round, but I’m particularly bad this time of year. Lot’s of crafty…
While perusing Sam’s Club the other day, I ran across some great deals on dishwashing soap. And naturally, my crafty mind did not immediately go to house cleaning. Much to my husband’s dismay. Scratch offs!! Did you know that you can make scratch offs with the use of dish detergent? You bet ya! And it is incredible easy too!…
Yep, I nailed it. Well, I certainly found something else that I’m not very good at. It falls in the same category with cooking, I guess. Anyway, I thought I’d share my tale of woe with you. You can laugh. It’s okay. The hubby and his dad already did. In fact, they still are… I…
The folks in my house love cereal. It is a favorite for morning, noon and even a Good night snack. With that said, I often have a large amount of cereal boxes in my recycle bin to choose from when it comes to crafting. And why let something cool and colorful go to waste? So…
This post brought to you by Walmart. All opinions are 100% mine. Treadmills are scary. They have blank digital eyes that stare at you ruthlessly while you run for your life on the seemingly speeding belt. I know that it’s waiting patiently for me to trip and fall and make a huge fool of myself…
