About a year ago, I came up with a pattern for Happy Camper Pot Holders. These colorful pot holders are a great addition to any kitchen whether it is in a camper or not! I love the vintage look! And apparently, you do too! This fun pattern is my most popular sewing project. I’ve had…
I love getting emails from readers who have tried out one of my tutorials and want to show off their projects. My Faux Stained Glass tutorial is my most popular post. The technique of mixing acrylic paint and glue to create the effect of stained glass has inspired many. I received a great email from…
Love miniatures? Want to make something amazing? Create a miniature scene inside a real chicken egg shell! This project is not as hard as it looks and the results are fabulous! My mother owns chickens; my sister owns ducks and geese. Between the two of them, they are keeping me well supplied in eggs for…
Oh yay! Mom is busy working and she said I could write the next post! She’s busy making these weird looking chickens out of funny tasting vegetables. I’m not sure why they are so popular. They really taste terrible. But anyway, mom and has asked me to talk to you about Feed The Friendship! It is a…
I have a problem. I just love those little “Rules” signs that have all different fonts in them. Since we live full time in our RV, I have absolutely no wall space. None. But I couldn’t help myself. I found a chalkboard, some chalk markers, and created a fun Camp Rules Pattern! Of course, I…
I’ve been getting my Etsy shop organized. Handmade gifts are such a nice option when giving and I love to share my ideas with those of you that would like to create your own. This week, I created an easy crochet pattern for ZigZag stitch hand towels using cotton yarn. The stitch looks complicated, but…
Yes, I cook now and then too! Bet you thought this was a craft blog! Well, the hubby would like me to put my craft project down now and then and whip something up in the kitchen. And honestly, I love cooking if I put my mind to it. So this past year I began…
I want to thank all of you for being so awesome this year. It has been a year of change for me and my husband. In April of 2015, we sold most everything we owned and hit the road in our RV as full time travelers. This meant that we were very dependent on the…
I was given copies of these Origami books to review. Affiliate links to Amazon below. Paper is a fun medium to work with. I love the fact that it is a very inexpensive craft. Generally, I do paper quilling. Some of my most popular paper projects on the Sitcom are my Quilled Monogram, Quilled Butterfly…
This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #ZiplocSavesSpace #CollectiveBias We often get asked about what it is like living full-time in a RV. I talk about how much fun our adventure has been so far, and really it has. It is so exciting to enjoy the…
The hubby and I have been trying to eat healthier over the past year. Our major life change in April, when we quit our corporate jobs and hit the road in our RV has helped us both to lose some weight and have better reports from the doctor. I’m always looking for ways to make…
We are in Florida this winter and for the first time ever, we will be celebrating Christmas without my family around. Just Dave, me and the dogs. This galavanting around the country in our RV has a whole lot of awesomeness to it. But there are some drawbacks, and the holidays have the potential to…
It’s time to think about unique gift ideas, and homemade gifts are the best! You see, about a month ago, I asked my readers what they would love to see in the future on the Sitcom. And I had so many wonderful suggestions. This week, I am creating one of those suggestions! Vicki said: The…
You know the Sitcom started out as purely a craft blog. And true to it’s name, the Sitcom hosts over 200 crafty tutorials. But lately, I have gotten into experimenting in the kitchen and have branched out with lots of fun and easy recipes that are perfect for parties. This “Yes You CAN” attitude…
This past year has been a whirlwind of activity for us. We became full time RV’ers in April and spent quite a bit of the year in Maine, along the east coast, and now in Florida. While in Maine, I looked for a fun Christmas ornament that would represent our time there and never really…
